What is more picturesque place to go to for a birthday celebration than the Liberty State Park in Jersey City, New Jersey.

Overlooking New York City and the Liberty Island where the Statue of Liberty stands, the guests of RHICKI ("Chicki") MARIE SANTOS were treated not only with lechon and other sumptuous food but also with a breathtaking panoramic view like no other.

The Park has the best view of Manhattan as you can see and features a boardwalk where you can walk, jog, bike or just enjoy the scenic view of New York City.

Chicki, the birthday girl (standing on the bench) is one of the three daughters of Ricky R.Santos (from Aurora, Isabela) and Diodylin (nee Narvata Corpuz from Agno, Pangasinan).

Anne (left of Chicki) is the other daughter and the eldest of the three.

It doesn't take long for children to smile their greatest especially during picture taking. Together, they are a bunch of happiest people around.

God loves the little children and the 'little children'. The latter, meaning, those who come to him with childlike faith.

What is freedom? Picture a bird that can fly anywhere and picture a caged bird and you get a sense of what is like to be free. Freedom is a gift and yet abused by many. Freedom in the US is now  too free. Too free to disrespect even the President. Too free to even disrespect the name of God and reject Him in school and government. Too free to reject the foundation of this great nation - God. This nation was born under the One Almighty God. Now, there are too many gods in this country. There is no longer freedom, but dissipation. There is less of hope and more deprivation of the soul. It is no longer Christ's country but cursed country, unless we repent as a nation.

No, Lillian's co-nurses of Greenville Hospital were not in the Liberty State Park for the birthday party. They held their picnic on the same date, and Lillian had to eat in both groups.

Choices - at times we have to choose between two things. The Bible teaches us to choose godly things and things that are eternal in value. Things in the world are but temporal. So God wants us to choose heavenly treasures which will never fade nor perish. Treasure the Lord Christ in your heart. Have Him instead of the world.
